August 30th, 2010 the SAL Squadron 379 donated ten (10) Das Hounds to Cooks Children Medical Hospital for the children that are preparing to have surgery, the gift is a stuff dog with information about surgery, what to expect and not to be afriad, something to confort them in their time of need. One of the SAL members took them on behalf of the American Legion Post 379 in Bedford, Texas and the SAL Squadron 379.

Cooking Team from Post 379 entered into another Chili Cook-off, this time they entered Traders Village.
April 10th, 2010 they finished 1st Place in Showmenship.
Junior member Michael Rasnick finished 2nd Place in the Egg Eating Contest.
Next competition will be held April 17th, 2010 in Fort Worth, at the VFW on Whitesettlement Road in River Oaks.
