Activities
The facilities at Hurst-Euless-Bedford American Legion Post 379 provide offices for its post officers and committee chairs, meeting rooms for its various tenant organizations plus a 146-person capacity hall that is available for wedding receptions, parties, meetings, and other events. The Post has a canteen with multiple televisions for watching sporting events and news. The Post also has two pool tables and a shuffleboard table. The canteen is open to all members, family, and guests regardless of whether they are members of Post 379 or another post. Volunteers use the commercial-grade kitchen to provide meals on most Fridays and Saturdays. See the calendar below for more specific information. Profits from these meals go toward various programs or charities supported by Post 379 and its tenant organizations. There is scheduled entertainment on most Friday and Saturday evenings such as Karaoke, or a live band, and there is a dance floor for those who like to boot scoot boogie. Throughout the year, the Post hosts various fundraising events where proceeds go toward programs such as scholarships, or cancer research.
